Semi Final Recap

The Championship Game is upon us...

The Semi Finals featured two blowouts. Which leaves Chcoloate Starfish vs. The Blackhole Black. There are a couple of interesting aspects with this matchup. The first is that we added these two teams this year to make things more competitive, and what do you know they both end up in the Championship. Job done. The second is the fact that Chocolate Starfish started 0-4! His team peaked at the right time and he finds himself in it at the end.

Good Luck to you both. For the first time someone in VA will win the money. I will be sending a check out to my parents and will trust them to distribute the money properly.

The First Round is Down!

So we all went to bed on Sunday night knowing that Chocolate Starfish would play The Burg YUH8ME and #imserious ThisYear would play Ya Mom's House #Boom. And then we woke up. Turns out ESPN failed to give Arian Foster a fumble throughout the entire day during Sunday's games, therefore, it appeared as if #imserious ThisYear had beat The Blackhole Black by the slim margin of 118.7 to 118.6. After attributing the fumble he lost 118.6 to 116.7. #imserious ThisYear really could have used a couple points from Plax...

Week 12 Recap

2 teams are eliminated from playoff contention and 3 are fighting for the last spot! Lets Go!

This isn't going to be a rundown of the match ups this week, I'll just highlight the key ones. Let's start with Team Falese. You have been eliminated from playoff contention. Words of advice, find a new consultant, you sat MJD 3 weeks in a row. That's unacceptable. That means #imserious ThisYear gets another week to show how serious he is. Next we have VA Bum Smashers, you have also been eliminated from playoff contention. You had some bad luck on thanksgiving day, however, I'm not sure you shouldn't have just played Beast Mode to begin with. This means that The Blackhole Black pretty much sealed the #4 spot. Sauce'n Ain't Easy will be the #5 seed. The #1 seed has been clinched by The Burg YUH8ME, must have been all that extra time off. The #2 seed is still up in the air. If I lose and My Vick in a Box wins he'll get it. And las but not least we have a 3 way fight til the death for #6 between #imserious ThisYear, Chocolate Starfish and Child Please. Let's run down the scenarios. #imserious ThisYear is in with a win by 19.3 points more than a Chocolate Starfish win. Chocolate Starfish is in with a win by 19.3 more points than an #imserious ThisYear win. Child Please is in with a win and a Chocolate Starfish loss, technically he could get in with a win by more than 83.6 more points than a Chocolate Starfish win. Let's count that scenario out. HAHA. Of course if any of you lose you're out.

I encourage everyone to take this week serious regardless if your fate has been sealed or not. I would love a Bum Smasher victory. I'm just saying.

How the mighty have fallen…

I suffer my first losing streak of the season with an embarrassing loss to Team Falese. I made this week an experiment week thinking it wouldn't matter either way and boy was I wrong. Congrats Team Falese. VA Bum Smashers had a tremendous come back on Monday night to beat Chocolate Starfish and keep himself in the playoff hunt. The Burg YUH8ME keeps on riding the Packers and beats Child Please. He's on a 5 game winning streak y'all. My Vick in a Box beat The Blackhole Black. Finally #imserious ThisYear beat Mike Vickless Sauce'n Ain't Easy. All the teams that had to win to keep hope alive won! This is going to be close.

I went 2-3 this week in my predictions, I am 27-23 on the season.

And I lose again…

I made a huge mistake and second guessed myself on playing Denarius Moore and it cost me, especially on a week where some of Sauce'n Ain't Easy's biggest contributors had terrible weeks… Child Please beat Chocolate Starfish thanks to the Bills getting smashed and Frank Gore going out with an injury early. VA Bum Smashers beat Team Falese, I have a few complaints about her roster but it wouldn't have mattered. In the closest matchup of the week and literally came down to the last touchdown scored by the packers The Blackhole Black beat #imserious ThisYear by 3 tenths of a point. Crazy. Last but certainly not least The Burg YUH8ME completes the sweep of My Vick in a Box and takes control of the Pimps division.

This is a BIG I repeat BIG week! If either Child Please or Chocolate Starfish win and any of the bottom 3; #imserious ThisYear,  VA Bum Smashers, and Team Falese; lose that team will be officially eliminated from the playoffs! Step your game up! Also at the top the 2 byes are still up for grabs.

My Vick in a Box comes tumbling down to earth… #BOOM

The epic battle between me and My Vick in a Box came down to the wire and thank the lord the Eagles didn't pull off that hook and latter at the end, 22 yards would have tied it. How the mighty have fallen. Sauce'n Ain't Easy beat up a beat down Team Falese, she really needs some of those injured players to come back and she needs to take some advice that is given when asked! The Blackhole Black beat Child Please who could have made one roster move and would have won the game. The Burg YUH8ME beat VA Bum Smashers pretty handily, gotta love them Packers. Last but not least, #imserious ThisYear ends his losing streak and Chocolate Starfish' winning streak.

This is an important week this week. A couple things are on the line this week, I could potentially clench at least the number 2 seed, record wise, with a win. VA Bum Smashers could pretty much eliminate himself from the playoffs with a loss. It looks like 5 or 6 wins is going to be the playoff threshold.

And the last of the unbeaten has fallen... Here we go.

Well what can I say? My matchup was over early. Chocolate Starfish whooped my ass. I always knew week 8 would be a problem and it was. Congrats to Chocolate Starfish, he's now on a 4 game winning streak and has jumped all the way to number 2 on the power rankings. Sauce'n Ain't Easy beat VA Bum Smashers with a RB and a K not in the lineup... more on this later. As Philly piled on the points and rushing yardage against Dallas Child Please' chances got slimmer, and in the end My Vick in a Box came away with the victory. The Burg YUH8ME beat #imserious ThisYear, but it started to get interesting with Malcom Floyd having an above average game on Monday night. In the last matchup The Blackhole Black beat Team Falese, nothing really interesting here.

For those of you keeping track I went 0-5 in my predictions this week... That makes me 20-15 on the season.

Sidenote: There were no trades this year! That might be a first.

Last year I started 0-7. This year I'm going for 7-0. Let's Get It!

I whooped #imserious ThisYear, nothing really to say there. Team Falese got back in it with a win over Sauce'n Ain't Easy, thanks a ton to Ahmad Bradshaw. My Vick in a Box held off The Blackhole Black, I can't lie I was rooting for Wes Welker to catch the game winning TD. Ha Ha. Child Please beat VA Bum Smashers in what turned out to be a laugher. Guess Trev has his priorities in line going with the potential jinx of the Redskins against his grounded Eagles and it worked out. We got terrible Rex (-2.7) with a new record low fantasy QB performance. And finally we have Chocolate Starfish getting on a roll with his win over The Burg YUH8ME. He is now securely in the playoff picture. I went 3-2 this week in my predictions and I am now 15-10 on the season.

There weren't very many bad moves this week but a couple teams standout.

Week 5 Recap

Another week, another W... Leggo!

And for the third week in a row my game came down to the wire, in fact it came down to the very last drive in the Monday night game. Good thing Cutler was tired of getting pounded. However, my game was not the only one that was dependent on the Monday night game. The matchup between The Blackhole Black and Child Please and the matchup between Chocolate Starfish and VA Bum Smashers did as well. Thanks to a big run by Best late in the game The Blackhole Black held off Child Please by .7 points! Wow! And thanks to a subpar Bears defensive performance Chocolate Starfish held off VA Bum Smashers to get his first W! I know how you feel man, took me until week 8 last year to get my first win. My Vick in a Box smashes Team Falese, the new Team Mauldin (y'all remember her?), who once again bared the burden of bad luck with her team, and The Burg YUH8ME beat #imserious ThisYear who proves to not be that serious after all. I went 3-2 with my predictions this week and that makes me 12-8 on the season.

C’mon Man:
Last week we asked the people if they would have sat Arian Foster. This week lets ask the people this, If you have a team with WRs who are struggling and you just so happen to pick up a good one in Free Agency would you sit that guy on the bench? No? An even better question, How many people not from Minnesota or Colorado have ever heard of Eric Decker? No one? Yeah that's what I thought. Child Please you lost the game because you left 29.5 points on your bench by not play Pierre Garcon and instead you got -0.4 points for being a homer. That's a big fat C'MON MAAAANNN!!! And not to mention Willis McGahee's 19.5 you also left on the bench.

Team Falese I'm putting you on here just because for the second week in a row your QB got negative points. I think this is a first in the history of fantasy sports. You should be proud. Also you've managed to go from top 5 power rankings to last place...

Fantasy Football Week 4 Recap

And what do you know… guess who's still undefeated!!!

And it was another nail biter weekend for me as it took until late in the 4th quarter of the Monday night game before I officially won my matchup this week. The other guy wasn't so lucky as My Vick in a Box lost his first game of the season to The Burg YUH8ME thanks to Aaron Rodgers' 4 passing td's and 2 rushing. All I can say is Karma's a Beotch! In the other match ups Team Falese handed VA Bum Smashers a win with some questionable roster decisions, #imserious ThisYear is back to losing as Child Please took advantage of a "questionable hamstring", and in my one lost prediction this week Sauce'n Ain't Easy beat The Blackhole Black thanks to Mike Vick finally showing up and the Patriots finding a running game. I was 4-1 this week in my predictions so that makes me 9-6 on the season. I'm getting better at this.

This week is going to be a little more difficult as teams start to have their bye weeks. Time to get creative with your acquisitions folks!

Team Falese - Whoever told you to pick up Chad Henne and to put him in the starting lineup slap them and defined them in real life. I could have got you -0.8 points! I was shaking in my boots late in the afternoon on sunday as I trailed Team Falese by a narrow margin with time running out in all of the afternoon games, and then Greg Jennings got the bonus. 2 Weeks down and I'm still undefeated! Say Whaaaat!!!? Haha. Week 1 Recap

Week 1 is in the books. We are back to football and it sure didn't disappoint. Congrats to Sauce'n Ain't Easy for being a huge underdog and pulling out a W. Also Congrats to The Blackhole Black for making up 70 points with 2 players. However, it didn't help you win the game. Its lining up to be a great season. Mathew Stafford is healthy, Ray Rice and Darren McFadden picked up where they left off, the Falcons looks overrated, the Bears look underrated, Tom Brady looks unstoppable, the Colts need Peyton Manning, and the Steelers D looks old.

P.S. - I finally won a fantasy season opener! I guess me and the Raiders have something in common.

Fantasy Football

It's that time of year again. That's right its football season and like most Americans I participate in a couple of fantasy football leagues, one of which I act as commissioner in. So I will use this blog to track that leagues activities and my weekly league recap. Here we go:
It's finally here! Teams have been selected, schedules have been set and smack has been talked. This year we open the season with our tradition of sibling on sibling rivalry with the brothers Parry and the brothers Ralston playing each other and we add an additional family rivalry with husband against wife. We all know competition within families is the most passionate and the most discussed and I wish I could be in VA to see what Momma Parry says to Poppa Parry after she whoops his ass! Hahaaa! These summaries will feature the usual suspects of our weekly c’mon man (terrible GM moves), pats on the back (good GM moves), and my random thoughts and predictions for the year (I’m not very good so if I pick you for something like winning it all don’t expect it to happen, see Child Please year 1 and #imserious ThisYear year 2.) New this year will be power rankings. Fantasy sports is about how many points you score so these rankings will be exclusively based on how many points you score regardless of your record. We all know this is not an indicator that you will win the league but it does mean you have the best team (See my team last year). Also I will keep track of the playoff picture all season long. The last 2 things should help everyone see exactly where they stand without having to go dig for the information on your own. I will take this time to remind everyone that money is due October 1st (Mom, Dad, Trev and Jeremiah I will be withholding your money from my monthly check I send to dad so you guys work out how you will be getting dad the cash). I would like to wish you all good luck this season and let the games and trash talk commence! #BOOM!

A little while ago I commented on a friends post on facebook. In my comment I called him by his real name, you know the one his Mom and Dad gave him. At the end of his response back he says, "it's xxxxxx online", insert crazy nickname for the x's. I laughed and thought to myself, "how long are we supposed to call this dude this name..." In my personal opinion if you are 25 or older and haven't made it as a rapper yet I'm not calling you by your rap name ever, in fact I'm not calling grown men any crazy nicknames like "Big Sexy", or big anything for that matter, what happens when they get skinny? Same thing goes for "Young So n So", we all getting older bruh. What's some crazy nicknames y'all have heard? How long should you be forced to call that person that name?

On A Serious Note

My thoughts and prayers, and I hope yours as well, go out to all those affected by the earthquake in japan and the aftermath it has caused. This is a reminder that sometimes this world has other plans for you. Live each day like it's your last and leave with no regrets.
