Season Finale

CHAMPIONSHIP GAME:
TP CharlieSheening vs. Child Please - Child Please won 125.2 to 119. The game came all the way down to the last drive in the Giants game and TP came up a little bit short. Congrats to Child Please!

Child Please - The Champ for now.

C’mon Man:
Gene - I could have won this money. Lol.

Playoffs Round 2 Recap

Sauce’n Ain’t Easy vs. Child Please - Child Please won 154.8 to 103.7. Everyone in Child Please’ lineup balled out except for Jeremy Maclin. It was too much for Sauce’n Ain’t Easy.

Red Hot Julius Peppers vs. TP CharlieSheening - TP CharlieSheening won 132.6 to 72.8. Red Hot Julius Peppers had terrible performances from both of the QBs on his roster and his defense got him -4 points while TP CharlieSheening got great performances from his defense and a couple RBs.

The Championship is set. Child Please the #1 seed vs. TP CharlieSheening the #2 seed. This is the first time ever that the #2 seed has made it to the championship and only the second time the #1 seed has made it to the championship, Child Please formerly known as Air Miguel in 2009, and he lost. Should be a great matchup.

Also to fuel my anger at The Burg YUH8ME had he handled his business to end the season I would have beat TP CharlieSheening this week to put myself in the championship.

Back Pats:
TP CharlieSheening and Child Please - Y’all been consistent throughout the year. Good luck!

Bold Prediction:
I was 1-1 this week. 2-2 for the playoffs

Playoffs Round 1 Recap

Child Please (10 points) - Bye

TP CharlieSheening (130.4) - Bye

Catcha Fade vs. Sauce’n Ain’t Easy - Sauce’n Ain’t Easy won 134.6 to 91.8. Sauce’n Ain’t Easy won this game with 3 monster performances: Marshawn Lynch (35.8), Jamaal Charles (27.5), and Mike Wallace (28.2). Way to bounce back.

Team birdsinthekitch vs. Red Hot Julius Peppers - Red Hot Julius Peppers won 121.3 to 84.1. As was the story the whole season Team birdsinthekitch just doesn’t have enough playmakers and failed to score more than 90 points.

For what its worth, nothing, had I made the playoffs Red Hot Julius Peppers would have been sent packing. I’ll continue to monitor my results from here on out to add insult to injury and to increase my own self pity.

Back Pats:
Sauce’n Ain’t Easy limped into the playoffs and got a W.

C’mon Man:
Team birdsinthekitch better do some re-evaluating and come back strong next season.

Bold Prediction:
I was 1-1 this week.

For this week:
(Sauce’n Ain’t Easy vs. Child Please) Child Please should advance.

(Red Hot Julius Peppers vs. TP CharlieSheening) Red Hot Julius Peppers should advance.

Regular Season Recap

The Blackhole Black vs. Rosie Palmers - Rosie Palmers won 84.3 to 79.5. I did everything I could to get into the playoffs, but ultimately that 6 game losing streak was the death of me.

TP CharlieSheening vs. Red Hot Julius Peppers - Red Hot Julius Peppers won 126.8 to 94.2. TP CharlieSheening finished the regular season on a 2 game losing streak. Luckily he sealed up that bye week. Also, it should be noted that Red Hot Julius Peppers actually finished the regular season in 2nd place overall with this win.

Sauce’n Ain’t Easy vs. Chocolate Starfish - Chocolate Starfish won 141.6 to 108.4. Sauce’n Ain’t Easy finished the regular season on a 3 game losing streak. Better turn that ship around fast. As for Chocolate Starfish, I’m sure this game is how he thought the whole season would go: Cam and Romo both over 30, RBs over double digits, Wes and Dez over 20 and Witten in double digits.

Team birdsinthekitch vs. The Burg YUH8ME - Team birdsinthekitch won 83.3 to 76.5. I rooted as hard as I could for YUH8ME. It got close near the end of the Monday night game, but his constant struggle to pick the right QB bit him once again. Matt Ryan scored 12.4 on Thursday while RG3 scored 19.7 on Monday night. That would have been good enough for the win. YUH8ME, YOU DAMN RIGHT...

Child Please vs. Catcha Fade - Child Please won 119.7 to 96.6. This game was meaningless for both parties. Catcha Fade could have moved up to 4th seed but would not have changed his matchups going forward. However, it ends his impressive 5 game winning streak.

And there you have it folks. The regular season has concluded and the playoffs are now set.

Meet Your Playoff Teams
1. Child Please (bye):
Power Ranking 2 - 1551.1 Total Points Scored (119.32 per game)
Key Players - Peyton Manning, Arian Foster, Adrian Peterson, and A.J. Green
He has beat every team in the playoffs except TP CharlieSheening.

2. TP Charlie Sheening (bye):
Power Ranking 4 - 1450.9 Total Points Scored (111.61 per game)
Key Players - Aaron Rodgers, Vincent Jackson, Victor Cruz, and Rob Gronkowski*
Hasn’t won since Gronk got injured.

3. Red Hot Julius Peppers:
Power Ranking 3 - 1511.7 Total Points Scored (116.28 per game)
Key Players - Matthew Stafford, Doug Martin, Calvin Johnson, Randall Cobb and Jimmy Graham
Loss to Child Please twice

4. Sauce’n Ain’t Easy:
Power Ranking 5 - 1407.2 Total Points Scored (108.25 per game)
Key Players - Marshawn Lynch, Demaryius Thomas, and Bears D
Has struggled to find replacements for injured role players.

5. Catcha Fade:
Power Ranking 6 - 1324.8 Total Points Scored (101.91 per game)
Key Players - C.J. Spiller, Brandon Marshall
Has won 6 of his last 8 games.

6. Team birdsinthekitch:
Power Ranking 9 - 1219.3 Total Points Scored (93.79 per game)
Key Players - Drew Brees
The worst team to ever make the playoffs since the current scoring rules were instituted.

Back Pats:
Team birdsinthekitch - Thank the football gods, and TP Charliesheening for starting the Eagles D in week 10, but you got the last spot. Congrats.

C’mon Man:
Rosie Palmers - This is a collapse of historic proportions. I broke the league scoring record of 1524.5 points with 1565.9 points and I outscored my opponents by 10.38 points per game. Only once before has the #1 team in the power ranks not made the playoffs (me again in 2010) and never has a team with a positive scoring differential missed the playoffs. Another first, the team with the #1 overall fantasy player, at the time of this writing is Tom Brady, has never missed the playoffs. And lastly, 7 of my 9 core players are in the top 10 at their position, could argue 8 had Percy not gotten injured. How I ruined this season I will never know, actually that’s not true thanks Reggie Bush! Thanks to flirting with his “potential” in 2 matchups, week 5 loss to Sauce’n Ain’t Easy and week 8 loss to Chocolate Starfish, I went from the #2 spot and a bye to not being in at all... Back to the drawing board.

Bold Prediction:
I went 3-2 this week. I’m 33-27 on the season.
I predict a Championship matchup between Child Please and Red Hot Julius Peppers, we’ve been here before, with Child Please winning.

For this week:
(Catcha Fade vs. Sauce’n Ain’t Easy) Catcha Fade is hot and Sauce’n Ain’t Easy needs to plug some holes. Catcha Fade wins.

(Team birdsinthekitch vs. Red Hot Julius Peppers) Red Hot Julius Peppers wins no more explanation necessary.

Power Rankings:
1. Rosie Palmers
2. Child Please
3. Red Hot Julius Peppers
4. TP CharlieSheening

Week 12 Recap

Rosie Palmers vs. Child Please - Rosie Palmers won 151.2 to 114.8. I keep my playoff hopes alive! Got off to a hot start on Thanksgiving with all but Stevan Ridley getting the bonus on Thursday and he was only shy by 3 yards. I never looked back. Should have played this roster all year... Child Please clinched a bye and the number 1 seed with a Red Hot Julius Peppers loss.

TP CharlieSheening vs. The Blackhole Black - The Blackhole Black won 123 to 92.3. Eli Manning played like Eli Manning, double digits from her running backs, Hakeem Nicks played like Hakeem Nicks, Cecil Shorts was a good pick up and the 49ers D played like the 49ers D... Maybe her team wasn’t so bad after all... Early injuries and bad luck killed this season for The Blackhole Black. This week The Blackhole Black has the opportunity to spoil Rosie Palmers playoff hopes! I love you Mom ;-) . TP CharlieSheening “clinched” a bye and the number 2 seed with a Sauce’n Ain’t Easy loss. (quotes because Sauce’n is unlikely to catch him in points tiebreaker)

The Burg YUH8ME vs. Sauce’n Ain’t Easy - The Burg YUH8ME won 104 to 70.8. YUH8ME pulls out a win despite picking the wrong QB and getting negative points from one of his running backs. Sauce’n Ain’t Easy had James Jones, Mike Wallace and Vernon Davis get less than 1 point... YUH8ME still has a chance at the playoffs.

Red Hot Julius Peppers vs. Chocolate Starfish - Chocolate Starfish won 123.5 to 111.4. Tony Romo and Dez Bryant lead the charge in this one as the Cowboys made a decent attempt at a comeback on Thanksgiving. That and the fact that Red Hot Julius Peppers chose the wrong Matt on Thanksgiving...

Catcha Fade vs. Team birdsinthekitch - Catcha Fade won 140.9 to 101. Talk about getting hot at the right time! Catcha Fade has won 5 in a row and clinched a playoff spot on the way. Team birdsinthekitch half of your wins have come against Chocolate Starfish and The Blackhole Black. Better find a way to beat a team that has some play makers.

Playoff Scenarios:
6. Team birdsinthekitch - The playoffs start now.

7. Rosie Palmers - Win and a Team birdsinthekitch loss.

8. The Burg YUH8ME - Win and a Rosie Palmers loss.

Seeds 3-5 are all up for grabs between Red Hot Julius Peppers, Sauce’n Ain’t Easy and Catcha Fade. For what it’s worth Sauce’n Ain’t Easy is looking a little vunerable with a couple of injuries...

Back Pats:
Catcha Fade - He spent the first 8 weeks or so in the bottom 4 (a few times in the bottom 2), but he’s racked up 5 W’s in a row and can now relax for a week.

C’mon Man:
TP CharlieSheening - Sitting Julio Jones 25.7 points.

Red Hot Julius Peppers - Sitting Matt Stafford 35.3 points.

Bold Prediction:
I went 2-3 this week. I’m 30-25 on the season.

This weeks winners: (Last time picking with my heart)
(Rosie Palmers vs. The Blackhole Black) I love my Momma, but I gotta get this W. Rosie Palmers wins.

(Sauce’n Ain’t Easy vs. Chocolate Starfish) Too many injuries, Chocolate Starfish Wins.

Week 11 Recap

Team birdsinthekitch vs. Rosie Palmers - Rosie Palmers won 146 to 73.4. birdsinthekitch only had 2 guys show up this week. This week I went back to my bread and butter roster and I put up big numbers. In fact had I played this exact roster, excluding defense as I have switched a few time, I would have lost 5 games instead of 7 and I would be secure in the playoffs. The sexy girl is not always the keeper, I flirted with Reggie Bush 2 too many times... My playoff chances are still hanging by a thread though.

Chocolate Starfish vs. TP CharlieSheening - TP CharlieSheening won 122.7 to 101.3. Gronk had a huge day, but at a huge cost. Let’s see how TP CharlieSheening fares without a major contributor most likely for the remainder of our fantasy season.

Child Please vs. The Burg YUH8ME - The Burg YUH8ME won 96.8 to 90.5. Both teams only 2 guys show up this week, but RG3 scored enough for 2 (40.4). With that win The Burg YUH8ME is clinging to a slim chance at the playoffs.

Red Hot Julius Peppers vs. The Blackhole Black - Red Hot Julius Peppers won 106.3 to 65.7. This one really was not even fair to start with. The Blackhole Black had 3 key contributors on bye this week. And with this loss she is officially eliminated from playoff contention. Depending on the results this week, however, she could play a significant spoiler role in week 13.

Catcha Fade vs. Sauce’n Ain’t Easy - Catcha Fade won 100.5 to 66.9. This one was also unfair to begin with. Both of Sauce’n Ain’t Easy’s QBs were out with injuries and his best RB was on bye this week. With the win Catcha Fade has put himself into a matchup with Team birdsinthekitch this week with the winner clinching the playoffs.

Playoff Scenarios:
5. Catcha Fade - Win and you’re in. Lose and you need to beat Child Please next week. Lose both and you will need Rosie Palmers and The Burg YUH8ME to lose 1 of their next 2, or outscore The Burg YUH8ME by 26.3 points over the next 2 weeks assuming he wins his next 2 matchups. (You are unlikely to catch Rosie Palmers if it comes to a total points tiebreaker)

6. Team birdsinthekitch - Win and you’re in. Lose and you need to beat The Burg YUH8ME next week. Lose both and you will need Rosie Palmers and The Burg YUH8ME to lose 1 of their next 2. (You play YUH8ME in the final week of the season) (You are unlikely to catch either Rosie Palmers or YUH8ME if it comes to a total points tiebreaker)

7. Rosie Palmers - I need to win both of my remaining matchups and have Catcha Fade or Team birdsinthekitch to lose both of their next matchups. (They play each other this week so that takes care of one of those losses) (I also lead the league in points scored and barring my team absolutely not showing up none of the remaining 4 can catch me if it comes down to a total points tiebreaker)

8. The Burg YUH8ME - (The Longest Shot) There is a chance. There are 2 scenarios here.
1st - If Catcha Fade beats Team birdsinthekitch: You need to win this week and beat Team birdsinthekitch next week and have Rosie Palmers lose 1 of his next 2.
2nd - If Team birdsinthekitch beats Catcha Fade: You need to win your next 2 matchups and have Catcha Fade lose to Child Please next week and have Rosie Palmers lose 1 of his next 2. All while hoping Catcha Fade doesn’t outscore you by 26.3 points over the next 2 weeks.

If the 1st of The Burg YUH8ME’s scenarios plays out then the playoffs will virtually start for both The Burg YUH8ME and Team birdsinthekitch next week!!!

THIS IS BOLD AND IN ALL CAPS FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT ARE NEW OR THOSE OF YOU THAT FORGOT. THE FIRST TIEBREAKER IS TOTAL POINTS SCORED. MAKE SURE YOU LEAVE NO POINTS ON YOUR BENCH THESE NEXT 2 WEEKS AS THEY MAY BE CRUCIAL TO YOUR POSITION IN THE PLAYOFFS. Following that is Head to Head, Intra Division Record, and then total points against.

The above is mainly for Team birdsinthekitch. Your spot is not safe. In fact your spot is the EASIEST to take.

Back Pats:
Catcha Fade - As I may be headed for an epic slump, Catcha Fade is headed for an epic comeback. He started the first 4 weeks in the bottom 4, but now rolling on a 4 game winning streak.

Rosie Palmers/The Burg YUH8ME - Snapping long losing streaks.

C’mon Man:
The Blackhole Black and Chocolate Starfish - Our 2 finalists last season are our first 2 to be eliminated this season. Not only that, but both have been outscored by nearly 300 points over the course of the year.

Bold Prediction:
I went 2-3 this week. I’m 28-22 on the season.

This weeks winners: (Again picking with my heart)
(Rosie Palmers vs. Child Please) Rosie Palmers, obvious reasons.

(TP CharlieSheening vs. The Blackhole Black) TP CharlieSheening.

(The Burg YUH8ME vs. Sauce’n Ain’t Easy) The Burg YUH8ME. A win will keep his hopes alive thus keeping him interested in beating Team birdsinthekitch next week.

(Red Hot Julius Peppers vs. Chocolate Starfish) Red Hot Julius Peppers. I need him to put some pressure on Child Please for that bye in the playoffs so that Child Please has an interest in beating Catcha Fade Next week.

(Catcha Fade vs. Team birdsinthekitch) Team birdsinthekitch. Based on next weeks oponents. Catcha Fade plays Child Please and Team birdsinthekitch plays The Burg YUH8ME. I’ll take my playoff chances with Child Please beating Catcha Fade.

Week 10 Recap

Rosie Palmers vs. Sauce’n Ain’t Easy - Sauce’n Ain’t Easy won 117.7 to 110.9. I can’t seem to catch a break. Stevan Ridley goes over 100 yards and then gets a 2 yards loss on his last touch of the game... That mixed with the fact that I tried to get cute and start the Cowboys D over the Broncos lost me this game. Oh, and Reggie Bush got 0.9 points. The end is in sight for me. Meanwhile Sauce’n Ain’t Easy moves up to the #2 spot and clinches a playoff spot with the win.

Chocolate Starfish vs. Child Please - Child Please won 124.3 to 77.4. Starfish left a lot of points on the bench, but in the end it wouldn’t have mattered.

TP CharlieSheening vs. Team birdsinthekitch - Team birdsinthekitch won 67.4 to 66.1. Why on earth would someone play the Eagles Defense? They got -4 points and that’s why TP CharlieSheening lost.

Red Hot Julius Peppers vs. The Burg YUH8ME - Red Hot Julius Peppers won 152.5 to 106.1. Just about every player on Red Hot Julius Peppers’ team came to play on Sunday. And on a positive note, The Burg YUH8ME finally cracked 100 for the first time in 5 weeks.

The Blackhole Black vs. Catcha Fade - Catcha Fade won 111.1 to 62.6. The Blackhole Black loses another game because of poor managing. Not sure if you didn’t play Joe Flacco because he was playing the Raiders but he and Tony Gonzalez had better matchups this week and were even projected higher by ESPN than Eli Manning and Heath Miller. 69.9 points wasted.

Back Pats:
Catcha Fade - On a 3 game winning streak in pursuit of that last playoff spot, albeit against the 3 worst teams in the league, still a winning streak.

Red Hot Julius Peppers - Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson finally had monster games together.

C’mon Man:
Rosie Palmers - Now on a 6 game losing streak...

TP CharlieSheening - The Eagles D? Really?

The Blackhole Black - Finding ways to lose games.

Bold Prediction:
I went 4-1 this week. I’m 26-19 on the season.

This weeks winners:
This week, based on my current status in the league, I’m picking with my heart LOL.

Week 9 Recap

Rosie Palmers vs. Red Hot Julius Peppers - Red Hot Julius Peppers won 142.2 to 136.2. On a week where Doug Martin scored 56.2 points you’d think this was a blowout, but up until late in the 3rd quarter of the Monday night game I thought i still had a chance. Playoffs are looking slim as I’m on a 5 game losing streak...

Sauce’n Ain’t Easy vs. Team birdsinthekitch - Sauce’n Ain’t Easy won 135.5 to 101.2. The Bears D has had only 1 game below 10 points and 4 games over 20 points. That is a huge key in a few of Sauce’n victories. With the win Sauce’n Ain’t Easy clinched a playoff spot.

The Blackhole Black vs. Child Please - Child Please won 147.5 to 83.3. The Blackhole Black finally got 2 big RB performances, but no one else showed up. With the win Child Please clinched a playoff spot, he would have with a loss as well, and The Blackhole Black is 1 loss or a Catcha Fade win from elimination (coincidentally they play each other this week).

The Burg YUH8ME vs. TP CharlieSheening - TP CharlieSheening won 132.3 to 90.3. At least YUH8ME scored some points this week. With the win TP CharlieSheening cliched a playoff spot, he also would have clinched with a loss.

Catcha Fade vs. Chocolate Starfish - Catcha Fade won 132.5 to 94.3. With all the byes for Starfish this was pretty predictable, but the bears went nuts in all aspects on Sunday. Otherwise, this was a lot closer. And for the first time since week 2 Catcha Fade finds his way out of the losers list.

#BOOM

Back Pats:
Red Hot Julius Peppers - Doug Martin kills my dreams similar to the way Vick did a couple years ago.

Sauce’n Ain’t Easy - The Bears D is an offensive weapon in fantasy football this year.

Catcha Fade - Having 2 Bears (Matt Forte and Brandon Marshall) on a day when they put up 50+ is a good thing.

C’mon Man:
Rosie Palmers - I’m on a 5 game losing streak...

Bold Prediction:
I went 4-1 this week. I’m 22-18 on the season.

This weeks winners:
(Rosie Palmers vs. Sauce’n Ain’t Easy) Let’s try to shake this jinx. Sauce’n Ain’t Easy wins.

(Chocolate Starfish vs. Child Please) Dallas playing Philly could make this close but I’m picking Child Please.

(TP CharlieSheening vs. Team birdsinthekitch) The Steelers are playing the Chiefs but the Falcons are playing the Saints. TP CharlieSheening wins.

(Red Hot Julius Peppers vs. The Burg YUH8ME) YUH8ME is still holding onto injured players on his bench while continuing to struggle to score points. Red Hot Julius Peppers wins.

(The Blackhole Black vs. Catcha Fade) Boy do I wish The Blackhole Black could pull this one out... Catcha Fade wins.

Week 8 Recap

Rosie Palmers vs. Chocolate Starfish – Chocolate Starfish won 103.4 to 100.4. I made some last minute adjustments that killed me this week. That and my defense got -6!!! Chocolate Starfish is back in the hunt for that 6th seed!

TP CharlieSheening vs. Sauce’n Ain’t Easy – TP CharlieSheening won 122 to 113.8. Julio Jones and Rob Gronkowski lit it up. TP’s receivers continue to carry his team.

Red Hot Julius Peppers vs. Child Please – Child Please won 130.5 to 124.6. With all the guys Child Please had on a bye this week and after the 66.8 Peppers got on Thursday night from 2 guys, this looked like a potential blowout win for Peppers. However, he got no more help from the rest of his team on Sunday and Monday.

The Burg YUH8ME vs. Catcha Fade – Catcha Fade won 95.6 to 58.9. YUH8ME should be YUN33DH3LP because your team needs help. 3 weeks in a row you can’t score any points is unacceptable, and you started Brandon Stokley over Michael Crabtree? C’mon Man!!! Catcha Fade is back in the playoff hunt and YUH8ME is hanging on for dear life.

Team birdsinthekitch vs. The Blackhole Black – Team birdsinthekitch won 85.4 to 74.6. Eli Manning Kills The Blackhole Black once again, however, just playing Brandon Lloyd and Larry Fitzgerald like she has all season would have got her a tie! Side note, birdsinthekitch has managed to get to 5-3 while being in the bottom of the power rankings (total points).

With the possibility of at least 1 playoff spot being clinched this week, it’s time to start focusing on the race for the last spot in. Everyone from 6th through 10th still has a mathematical chance of making the playoffs with that in mind I have compiled some numbers for those teams to look at and hopefully they/we recognize the importance of playing your best team every week.

Week 7 Recap

Rosie Palmers vs. TP CharlieSheening – TP CharlieSheening won 146.8 to 98.4. Vincent Jackson went nuts all day and the Redskins gave up a huge touchdown to Victor Cruz at the end of the game.

The Burg YUH8ME vs. The Blackhole Black – The Blackhole Black won 108.6 to 67.9. Chris Johnson looked like the old Chris Johnson (36.8) and for the second week in a row YUH8ME failed to crack 70 points.

Catcha Fade vs. Red Hot Julius Peppers – Red Hot Julius Peppers won 153.4 to 82.3. Good call on starting Josh Freeman (40.7) and in general Red Hot Julius Peppers players all had big days.

Chocolate Starfish vs. Team birdsinthekitch – Team birdsinthekitch won 128.1 to 96.8. The Saints show up again. Drew Brees had his 3rd straight game of more than 40 points. You better hope this holds up.

Sauce’n Ain’t Easy vs. Child Please – Child Please won 97.9 to 82. This game was close until the Bears gave up their shutout bid. Also 0 from Vernon Davis hurt Sauce’n Ain’t Easy. Child Please squeaked by with 2 great performances and a bunch of average and below average performances.

Back Pats:
TP CharlieSheening – What a trade for thedynamic duo at receiver.

The Blackhole Black – Chris Johnson finally had a big game.

Red Hot Julius Peppers – Josh Freeman went nuts.

Catcha Fade – Each week those 2 receivers you traded help TP demolish people. We all hate you for that.

The Burg YUH8ME – Under 70 2 weeks in a row. Time to start reevaluating.

Bold Prediction:
I went 2-3 this week. I’m 17-13 on the season.

Week 6 Recap

Rosie Palmers vs. Catcha Fade – Catcha Fade won 105.4 to 89.4. -4 from my defense and 14.9 combined from 3 running backs is the recipe for an L. Congrats to Catcha Fade though. The return of CJ Spiller and Andy Dalton lead to a much needed victory.

Team birdsinthekitch vs. Sauce’n Ain’t Easy – Sauce’n Ain’t Easy won 101.8 to 65.7. The moral here is backups are backups. Cedric Benson and Donald Brown both were injured last week. So… birdsinthekitch grabs their backups and the get 12.5… combined. Oh and you didn’t learn your lesson on starting multiple receivers from the same team. You should have picked up Antonio Gates. HaHa.

The Blackhole Black vs. Red Hot Julius Peppers – Red Hot Julius Peppers won 102.5 to 81.9. On a weekend where The Blackhole gets maximum production from all of her skill positions and kicker she still manages to lose the game. How? Her QB and Defense had below average performances. She can’t catch a break. On another note, Jordy Nelson was a fantasy stud that was unnoticed in our league this week with 35.1 chillin on Red Hot Julius Peppers’ bench.

Child Please vs. TP CharlieSheening – TP CharlieSheening won 129.7 to 123.2. Down goes the lone undefeated! This was probably the most thrilling matchup I’ve seen ever. We went from assuming, based on average performances, that Child Please would win going into Sunday night with TP only having Aaron Rodgers left and a score of 73.5 to 56.3 (Child Please had Arian Foster, Manning, Decker and Prater left at this point). Then BOOM Rodgers puts up 56.2 and now we assume TP will win easily. Then in the 4th quarter of the Monday night game Decker catches a 28 yard pass or so which would have put him over 100 yards and thus earning the 5 point bonus plus the 2.8 for the yardage and Child Please wins by fractions of a point! Except there was an offensive pass interference called on Decker! HaHaHaHa! Decker finished the game with 98 yards and Child Please takes his first L.

Chocolate Starfish vs. The Burg YUH8ME – Chocolate Starfish won 140.8 to 64.7. FINALLY!!!! Now everyone has a win. The story here is that Shonne Green absolutely exploded on the Colts for 39.1 points. Starfish also got big numbers from multiple positions which he hasn’t had all season. However, this week he would have won regardless with the horrible showing YUH8ME’s players put out and the fact that RG 3 was a bench stud as well this week with 42.1.

No undefeated and no totally defeateds. ***NEWS FLASH*** trade deadline is Wednesday. Trades must be accepted by both parties by noon eastern on Wednesday!

#BOOM

Back Pats:
TP CharlieSheening – beat Child Please thanks toAaron Rodgers.

Chocolate Starfish – got his first W.

C’mon Man:
The Burg YUH8ME and Team birdsinthekitch – y’allcant put up more than 64/65 points? C’mon Man!

The Burg YUH8ME – no one wants Matt Ryan. LOL. Stop Sitting RG3.

Red Hot Julius Peppers – Stop sitting Jordy!

Child Please – you got 2 roster spots that put up 0’s playa.

Bold Prediction:
I went 2-3 this week. I called that upset specialthough! . I’m 15-10 on the season.

Week 5 Recap

Sauce’n Aint Easy vs. Rosie Palmers - Sauce’n Aint Easy won 129.2 to 125.1. The Bears defense has scored 23+ points in their last 3 games. This is clearly winning Sauce’n games. That and the fact that I swapped Reggie Bush (13.2) in for Steven Ridley (24.1)...

TP CharlieSheening vs. Chocolate Starfish - TP CharlieSheening won 111.7 to 87.3. TP has made a couple significant trades to help his team stay relevant. Victor Cruz scored 23 this week and Michael Turner scored 12.9 (has only had 4 double digit running backs out of 10 possible opportunities). Starfish, still winless...

Catcha Fade vs. The Burg YUH8ME - The Burg YUH8ME won 115.9 to 73.2. Reggie Wayne had a huge day, but other than that YUH8ME had a bunch of average performances. Also, he decided to start Matt Ryan (get him while he's hot and being wasted people, it will only cost you your 3 best players on your team...). Catcha Fade really needs to start taking advantage of the right matchups. Alex Smith was playing the worst pass defense and Ryan Mathews was playing the 3rd worst run defense. Had you inserted those 2 you would have scored 115.8. Yes you still would have lost, The Pats D would have won it, but with the playoffs being decide by just 1 game at the moment you gotta take advantage of all the points you can get. Don't get left out because of tie breakers.

Child Please vs. The Blackhole Black - Child Please won 122.3 to 99.2. This game had the makings to be interesting. Midway through the 4th quarter it did not appear as though Peyton would get the 300 yard bonus nor another TD and The Blackhole Black would have a 20+ lead with Arian Foster left to play. However, Peyton would not be denied. The Blackhole Black is really struggling at RB and Hakeem Nicks being injured is bringing down her receiving core as well.

Red Hot Julius Peppers vs. Team birdsinthekitch - Team birdsinthekitch won 123.5 to 75.1. With the Lions on a bye Red Hot Julius Peppers had to fill a 35-50 point hole. Needless to say he didn't. As far as birdsinthekitch goes, the Saints came to play once again. Bress to Colston was a valuable combo this week. They combined to beat Red Hot Julius Peppers on their own (77.7). Team birdsinthekitch had put himself firmly in the playoff picture for the first time all season.

We still have 1 undefeated (Child Please) and 1 Defeated (Chocolate Starfish). I'll continue to keep tabs on this until they both fall/rise or I get tired of mentioning it. Someone beat Child Please already.

Back Pats:
TP CharlieSheening - Recognized lack of performance early and upgraded at key positions with Victor Cruz and Michael Turner. Could be a threat again.

Sauce'n Ain't Easy - the Bears D is lighting it up.

Team birdsinthekitch - The Saints, Could be good or could be bad. This week yet were good.

C’mon Man:
Rosie Palmers - this C'mon Man goes out to the Broncos run D, which at the time of me deciding to sit Ridley was ranked 6th!

Catcha Fade - gotta get those right matchups in there.

Chocolate Starfish - man you haven't won a game. You gotta be on here until that changes.

Bold Prediction:
I went 3-2 this week, I'm going to blame Andre Johnson's lame performance for not doing better in these picks. I’m 13-7 on the season.

This weeks winners - Rosie Palmers (always picking myself), the Saints are on bye but luckily he has a few Steelers against the Titans... and the Bears D is on bye Team birdsinthekitch with the W, Red Hot Julius Peppers, *UPSET SPECIAL* TP CharlieSheening, and I'm never taking Starfish so The Burg YUH8ME by default.

Week 4 Recap

Rosie Palmers vs. Chocolate Starfish - I won 176.2 to 90.8. It was over before many of the early games (11 AM Mountain Time) finished.

TP CharlieSheening vs. Team birdsinthekitch - birdsinthekitch won 125.8 to 108.4. TP guaranteed a victory all week long. How do you trade for players and then don’t play them? Vincent Jackson (21.1) if inserted for Andre Brown (1.8) would have won the game. Meanwhile, birdsinthekitch seem to fly whichever way the Steelers or Saints do with 8 of his players combined from those 2 teams. Luckily the Saints came to play on Sunday.

The Burg YUH8ME vs. Red Hot Julius Peppers - YUH8ME won 107.9 to 101.1. In the other trade of this very busy week YUH8ME acquired Greg Jennings and Willis MaGahee (31.4 Combined) for Steve Smith and DeMarco Murray (12.3 Combined). That’s a 19.1 point differential, and as you can see from the alternatives this is the sole reason he won this matchup.

Catcha Fade vs. Child Please - Child Please won 145.9 to 103.3. This could have been ALOT uglier as Child Please left Brian Hartline (36.3) on the bench. However, it also could have been ALOT closer. Early in the week Catcha Fade traded Vincent Jackson, Victor Cruz and BenJarvus Green-Ellis (50.4 combined) to TP CharlieSheening for Andy Dalton, Steve Johnson and Steven Jackson (35.3 combined). Despite all that you still would have lost.

The Blackhole Black vs. Sauce’n Ain’t Easy - Sauce’n Ain’t Easy won 132.9 to 123.7. He need a great performance from the Bears D on Monday night to do it and he got it. The Blackhole Black’s team doesn’t look as dead as it initially appear but she keeps coming up short on her matchups.

We still have 1 undefeated (Child Please) and 1 Defeated (Chocolate Starfish). Stay positive Chocolate Starfish, you started 0-4 last season as well and still ended up in the Championship.

Trade impacts - Catcha Fade/TP CharlieSheening 35.3 - 50.4, both lost but TP could have benefitted from this trade. The Burg YUH8ME/Child Please 31.4 -12.3, both won and YUH8ME needed every bit of this trade.

Back Pats:
Rosie Palmers - My entire team, except the Cowgirl D, came to play.

Team birdsinthekitch - The Saints finally showed up.

The Burg YUH8ME - Making a successful trade.

C’mon Man:
TP CharlieSheening - Double Whammy - Your running backs, 13 combined points (3 players), and trading for players then benching them. I have a few backs I could be persuaded to let go of.

Catcha Fade - You gave away 50.4 points.

The Burg YUH8ME - being a horrible trade partner.

Bold Prediction:
I went 3-2 this week, should have been 5-0, thanks TP and Michael Bush. I’m 10-5 on the season.

Week 3 Recap

Rosie Palmers vs. Team birdsinthekitch (line: Rosie -10.9) - I won 100.6 to 89.3. As a Steelers fan Team birdsinthekitch decided to start Jonathan Dwyer (good for -2) and sit Big Ben (good for 45.2) which makes for a whopping 22 point swing. Those of us good at math can see that he lost by 11.3.

TP CharlieSheening vs. Catcha Fade (line: TP -11.7) - TP CharlieSheening won 112.9 to 53.6. Catcha Fade's players just didn't show up to play. Only 2 guys in double digits will not cut it. Side Note: Not that anyone knew he would play but Torrey Smith put up 29.7 on Fade's bench.

Sauce'n Ain't Easy vs. Red Hot Julius Peppers (line: Red Hot -26) - Red Hot Julius Peppers won 101.5 to 97.9. This one came all the way down to the wire. Sauce'n had Marshawn Lynch run for 98 yards which is 2 short of the 5 point bonus for 100 yard games. However, all of this could have been water under the bridge had you played Jamal Charles (39.8 points).

Chocolate Starfish vs. The Blackhole Black (line: Starfish -29.9) - The Blackhole Black won 114.5 to 63.5. This was a battle of the winless. Blackhole finally got a win after looking miserable the previous 2 weeks thanks to finding a running back in Mikel Leshoure ;-). It also helped that Starfish' QB's didnt show up to play and Wes Welker finally did but was left on the bench (19.2).

The Burg YUH8ME vs. Child Please (line: YUH8ME -22.4) - Child Please won 137.5 to 134.5. This one also came down to the wire with the possibility of YUH8ME getting some additional yardage from Ray Rice as the Ravens had 2 possessions in the last 3 minutes and change of the Sunday night game. Unfortunately he didn't get many touches down the stretch.

I put the game lines as projected by ESPN at Kickoff beside each of the matchups this week to show how big the last 2 wins actually were. Not only did The Blackhole Black and Child Please win their matchups, they were 20 point underdogs!!! Great job guys.

We now have 1 undefeated (Child Please) and 1 Defeated (Chocolate Starfish). Chocolate Starfish started 0-4 last season and went to the Championship. So keep that in mind.

Side Note: The No Mercy Cursey is in full effect. Watch what you wish for YUH8ME ;-)

Team birdsinthekitch - Being a poor Steelers fan. 45.2

Week 2 Recap

Rosie Palmers (Me) vs. The Burg YUH8ME - I won 137.8 to 102.8 which is funny being as a "No Mercy" rule was put into effect after last week. A little premature I would say. I whooped that ass and left Trent Richardson's 31.5 points on my bench.

Sauce'n Ain't Easy vs. TP CharlieSheening - Sauce'n won 136 to 75.8. What a difference a week makes. TP was one of the leading scorers last week, but this week he was the lowest scorer. Julio Jones was a dud this week as was Aaron Rodgers, Steven Jackson was benched for premature celebration and Darren McFadden looks like an overall dud in the Raiders new running scheme.

Catcha Fade vs. The Blackhole Black - Catcha Fade won 142.3 to 104.5. After taking a beating last week The Blackhole came back with a reasonable amount of points. However, 142.3 is a lot to overcome. If she can find some help at the running back position she should be in decent shape.

Team birdsinthekitch vs. Chocolate Starfish - birds won 102.5 to 88.8. Way to bounce back after that horrible performance you put up last week. Still a little low on the points side but a W is a W.

Child Please vs. Red Hot Julius Peppers - Child Please won 102.8 to 87.5. This was my upset special and it came down to the Monday night game in which Child Please had 4 Broncos left to play. Thanks to Willis McGahee's 113 yards and 2 TDs Child Please pulled this one out.

The theme this week was "What a difference a week makes" as we had notable week 1 performers turn into duds and teams we thought would look a little more dominant look a little more average (TP CharlieSheening, The Burg YUH8ME, and Red Hot Julius Peppers). Stay active on the waiver wire and on the Trade Block. I have a few guys I'm willing to part ways with as do others I'm sure. Stay on top of your rosters while its still early.

Back Pats:
Rosie Palmers - Traded for Reggie Bush and it paid off this week with 36.7 points.

Suace'n Ain't Easy - Marshawn Lynch turned on beast mode for 23.2 but Vernon Davis grabbed 2 TDs and racked up 19.3 points.

Catcha Fade - CJ Spiller over 100 and 2 TDs scoring 34 points and Victor Cruz bouncing back strong with 28.9 points.

The Blackhole Black - Although she lost, Eli Manning hung in there and for 510 yards and 3 TDs bringing in 37.2 points and Hakeem Nicks 199 yards and a TD for 30.9 points.

Chocolate Starfish - Dwayne Bowe caught 2 TDs for 27.2 points.

Child Please - Willis McGahee 29.4 points, sealed the W.

C’mon Man:
Rosie Palmers - sitting Trent Richardson leaving 31.5 points on the bench.

The Burg YUH8ME - Dropped the Seahawks D for the Raiders D for a net loss of 21 points. (still would have lost the game)

TP CharlieSheening - left Danny Amendola's 26.2 points on the bench.

Chocolate Starfish - Cam Newton's 27.2 and Ben Tate's 21.7 would have helped you win the game.

Bold Prediction:
I went 3-2 in my predictions last week including a correct call on my upset special.

Week 1 Recap

Fantasy Football is back and so is my weekly recaps! We have a couple of new team names and one new owner.

#imserious ThisYear - Catcha Fade
VA BumSmashers - TP CharlieSheening
Ya Mom's House #Boom - Rosie Palmers (Me)
My Vick in a Box - Red Hot Julius Peppers

The new guy - Team birdsinthekitch

TP CharlieSheening beat Me (Rosie Palmers) 135.3 to 109.4. Julio Jones went nuts (27.8) and I left 26.2 points on my bench with Steven Ridley in favor of DeAngelo Williams 0.4 points... I still would have lost by 0.1 points though. HaHa

The Burg YUH8ME beat The Blackhole Black alot to a little... (168.4 - 55.6). She could have played all 16 players and still would have lost. In fact she could have played all 16 players and lost to 5 other teams! The Burg's whole team, excluding the defense, scored at least 13 points. Nice.

Red Hot Julius Peppers beat Catcha Fade 125.3 to 86.6. Not much to say here. Catcha Fade got bit by the Adrian Peterson freak of nature bug and started Gerhart, who all the "experts" had going for double digits with a limited Peterson. They were wrong. However, theres no excuse for only having a rookie QB on your roster... Oh, and CJ Spiller with 28.4 on the bench.

Sauce'n Ain't Easy beat Chocolate Starfish 116.9 to 82.3. Again not much to say here except maybe Demarius Thomas exceeded expectations. Also, Wes Welker was a complete dud. Could be interesting going forward.

Child Please beat the new guy Team birdsinthekitch 93.1 to 72.7. All I gotta say is Devery Henderson? Really? Oh and how about that Bills D?

Great first week guys and gal. There was a lot of chatter leading up which makes things fun. Keep it up. Looks like we have a couple, maybe 3, power houses. Meanwhile, some of us have some redecorating to do!
