Week 3 Recap

Rosie Palmers vs. Team birdsinthekitch (line: Rosie -10.9) - I won 100.6 to 89.3. As a Steelers fan Team birdsinthekitch decided to start Jonathan Dwyer (good for -2) and sit Big Ben (good for 45.2) which makes for a whopping 22 point swing. Those of us good at math can see that he lost by 11.3.

TP CharlieSheening vs. Catcha Fade (line: TP -11.7) - TP CharlieSheening won 112.9 to 53.6. Catcha Fade's players just didn't show up to play. Only 2 guys in double digits will not cut it. Side Note: Not that anyone knew he would play but Torrey Smith put up 29.7 on Fade's bench.

Sauce'n Ain't Easy vs. Red Hot Julius Peppers (line: Red Hot -26) - Red Hot Julius Peppers won 101.5 to 97.9. This one came all the way down to the wire. Sauce'n had Marshawn Lynch run for 98 yards which is 2 short of the 5 point bonus for 100 yard games. However, all of this could have been water under the bridge had you played Jamal Charles (39.8 points).

Chocolate Starfish vs. The Blackhole Black (line: Starfish -29.9) - The Blackhole Black won 114.5 to 63.5. This was a battle of the winless. Blackhole finally got a win after looking miserable the previous 2 weeks thanks to finding a running back in Mikel Leshoure ;-). It also helped that Starfish' QB's didnt show up to play and Wes Welker finally did but was left on the bench (19.2).

The Burg YUH8ME vs. Child Please (line: YUH8ME -22.4) - Child Please won 137.5 to 134.5. This one also came down to the wire with the possibility of YUH8ME getting some additional yardage from Ray Rice as the Ravens had 2 possessions in the last 3 minutes and change of the Sunday night game. Unfortunately he didn't get many touches down the stretch.

I put the game lines as projected by ESPN at Kickoff beside each of the matchups this week to show how big the last 2 wins actually were. Not only did The Blackhole Black and Child Please win their matchups, they were 20 point underdogs!!! Great job guys.

We now have 1 undefeated (Child Please) and 1 Defeated (Chocolate Starfish). Chocolate Starfish started 0-4 last season and went to the Championship. So keep that in mind.

Side Note: The No Mercy Cursey is in full effect. Watch what you wish for YUH8ME ;-)

Week 2 Recap

Rosie Palmers (Me) vs. The Burg YUH8ME - I won 137.8 to 102.8 which is funny being as a "No Mercy" rule was put into effect after last week. A little premature I would say. I whooped that ass and left Trent Richardson's 31.5 points on my bench.

Sauce'n Ain't Easy vs. TP CharlieSheening - Sauce'n won 136 to 75.8. What a difference a week makes. TP was one of the leading scorers last week, but this week he was the lowest scorer. Julio Jones was a dud this week as was Aaron Rodgers, Steven Jackson was benched for premature celebration and Darren McFadden looks like an overall dud in the Raiders new running scheme.

Catcha Fade vs. The Blackhole Black - Catcha Fade won 142.3 to 104.5. After taking a beating last week The Blackhole came back with a reasonable amount of points. However, 142.3 is a lot to overcome. If she can find some help at the running back position she should be in decent shape.

Team birdsinthekitch vs. Chocolate Starfish - birds won 102.5 to 88.8. Way to bounce back after that horrible performance you put up last week. Still a little low on the points side but a W is a W.

Child Please vs. Red Hot Julius Peppers - Child Please won 102.8 to 87.5. This was my upset special and it came down to the Monday night game in which Child Please had 4 Broncos left to play. Thanks to Willis McGahee's 113 yards and 2 TDs Child Please pulled this one out.

The theme this week was "What a difference a week makes" as we had notable week 1 performers turn into duds and teams we thought would look a little more dominant look a little more average (TP CharlieSheening, The Burg YUH8ME, and Red Hot Julius Peppers). Stay active on the waiver wire and on the Trade Block. I have a few guys I'm willing to part ways with as do others I'm sure. Stay on top of your rosters while its still early.

Back Pats:
Rosie Palmers - Traded for Reggie Bush and it paid off this week with 36.7 points.

Suace'n Ain't Easy - Marshawn Lynch turned on beast mode for 23.2 but Vernon Davis grabbed 2 TDs and racked up 19.3 points.

Catcha Fade - CJ Spiller over 100 and 2 TDs scoring 34 points and Victor Cruz bouncing back strong with 28.9 points.

The Blackhole Black - Although she lost, Eli Manning hung in there and for 510 yards and 3 TDs bringing in 37.2 points and Hakeem Nicks 199 yards and a TD for 30.9 points.

Chocolate Starfish - Dwayne Bowe caught 2 TDs for 27.2 points.

Child Please - Willis McGahee 29.4 points, sealed the W.

C’mon Man:
Rosie Palmers - sitting Trent Richardson leaving 31.5 points on the bench.

The Burg YUH8ME - Dropped the Seahawks D for the Raiders D for a net loss of 21 points. (still would have lost the game)

TP CharlieSheening - left Danny Amendola's 26.2 points on the bench.

Chocolate Starfish - Cam Newton's 27.2 and Ben Tate's 21.7 would have helped you win the game.

Bold Prediction:
I went 3-2 in my predictions last week including a correct call on my upset special.

This weeks winners - Rosie Palmers (always picking myself), TP CharlieSheening, Red Hot Julius Peppers, *UPSET SPECIAL* The Blackhole Black, and The Burg YUH8ME

Week 1 Recap

Fantasy Football is back and so is my weekly recaps! We have a couple of new team names and one new owner.

#imserious ThisYear - Catcha Fade
VA BumSmashers - TP CharlieSheening
Ya Mom's House #Boom - Rosie Palmers (Me)
My Vick in a Box - Red Hot Julius Peppers

The new guy - Team birdsinthekitch

TP CharlieSheening beat Me (Rosie Palmers) 135.3 to 109.4. Julio Jones went nuts (27.8) and I left 26.2 points on my bench with Steven Ridley in favor of DeAngelo Williams 0.4 points... I still would have lost by 0.1 points though. HaHa

The Burg YUH8ME beat The Blackhole Black alot to a little... (168.4 - 55.6). She could have played all 16 players and still would have lost. In fact she could have played all 16 players and lost to 5 other teams! The Burg's whole team, excluding the defense, scored at least 13 points. Nice.

Red Hot Julius Peppers beat Catcha Fade 125.3 to 86.6. Not much to say here. Catcha Fade got bit by the Adrian Peterson freak of nature bug and started Gerhart, who all the "experts" had going for double digits with a limited Peterson. They were wrong. However, theres no excuse for only having a rookie QB on your roster... Oh, and CJ Spiller with 28.4 on the bench.

Sauce'n Ain't Easy beat Chocolate Starfish 116.9 to 82.3. Again not much to say here except maybe Demarius Thomas exceeded expectations. Also, Wes Welker was a complete dud. Could be interesting going forward.

Child Please beat the new guy Team birdsinthekitch 93.1 to 72.7. All I gotta say is Devery Henderson? Really? Oh and how about that Bills D?

Great first week guys and gal. There was a lot of chatter leading up which makes things fun. Keep it up. Looks like we have a couple, maybe 3, power houses. Meanwhile, some of us have some redecorating to do!
