Playoffs Round 2 Recap

Sauce’n Ain’t Easy vs. Child Please - Child Please won 154.8 to 103.7. Everyone in Child Please’ lineup balled out except for Jeremy Maclin. It was too much for Sauce’n Ain’t Easy.

Red Hot Julius Peppers vs. TP CharlieSheening - TP CharlieSheening won 132.6 to 72.8. Red Hot Julius Peppers had terrible performances from both of the QBs on his roster and his defense got him -4 points while TP CharlieSheening got great performances from his defense and a couple RBs.

The Championship is set. Child Please the #1 seed vs. TP CharlieSheening the #2 seed. This is the first time ever that the #2 seed has made it to the championship and only the second time the #1 seed has made it to the championship, Child Please formerly known as Air Miguel in 2009, and he lost. Should be a great matchup.

Also to fuel my anger at The Burg YUH8ME had he handled his business to end the season I would have beat TP CharlieSheening this week to put myself in the championship.

Back Pats:
TP CharlieSheening and Child Please - Y’all been consistent throughout the year. Good luck!

Playoffs Round 1 Recap

Child Please (10 points) - Bye

TP CharlieSheening (130.4) - Bye

Catcha Fade vs. Sauce’n Ain’t Easy - Sauce’n Ain’t Easy won 134.6 to 91.8. Sauce’n Ain’t Easy won this game with 3 monster performances: Marshawn Lynch (35.8), Jamaal Charles (27.5), and Mike Wallace (28.2). Way to bounce back.

Team birdsinthekitch vs. Red Hot Julius Peppers - Red Hot Julius Peppers won 121.3 to 84.1. As was the story the whole season Team birdsinthekitch just doesn’t have enough playmakers and failed to score more than 90 points.

For what its worth, nothing, had I made the playoffs Red Hot Julius Peppers would have been sent packing. I’ll continue to monitor my results from here on out to add insult to injury and to increase my own self pity.

Back Pats:
Sauce’n Ain’t Easy limped into the playoffs and got a W.

C’mon Man:
Team birdsinthekitch better do some re-evaluating and come back strong next season.

Bold Prediction:
I was 1-1 this week.

For this week:
(Sauce’n Ain’t Easy vs. Child Please) Child Please should advance.

(Red Hot Julius Peppers vs. TP CharlieSheening) Red Hot Julius Peppers should advance.

Regular Season Recap

The Blackhole Black vs. Rosie Palmers - Rosie Palmers won 84.3 to 79.5. I did everything I could to get into the playoffs, but ultimately that 6 game losing streak was the death of me.

TP CharlieSheening vs. Red Hot Julius Peppers - Red Hot Julius Peppers won 126.8 to 94.2. TP CharlieSheening finished the regular season on a 2 game losing streak. Luckily he sealed up that bye week. Also, it should be noted that Red Hot Julius Peppers actually finished the regular season in 2nd place overall with this win.

Sauce’n Ain’t Easy vs. Chocolate Starfish - Chocolate Starfish won 141.6 to 108.4. Sauce’n Ain’t Easy finished the regular season on a 3 game losing streak. Better turn that ship around fast. As for Chocolate Starfish, I’m sure this game is how he thought the whole season would go: Cam and Romo both over 30, RBs over double digits, Wes and Dez over 20 and Witten in double digits.

Team birdsinthekitch vs. The Burg YUH8ME - Team birdsinthekitch won 83.3 to 76.5. I rooted as hard as I could for YUH8ME. It got close near the end of the Monday night game, but his constant struggle to pick the right QB bit him once again. Matt Ryan scored 12.4 on Thursday while RG3 scored 19.7 on Monday night. That would have been good enough for the win. YUH8ME, YOU DAMN RIGHT...

Child Please vs. Catcha Fade - Child Please won 119.7 to 96.6. This game was meaningless for both parties. Catcha Fade could have moved up to 4th seed but would not have changed his matchups going forward. However, it ends his impressive 5 game winning streak.

And there you have it folks. The regular season has concluded and the playoffs are now set.

Back Pats:
Team birdsinthekitch - Thank the football gods, and TP Charliesheening for starting the Eagles D in week 10, but you got the last spot. Congrats.

C’mon Man:
Rosie Palmers - This is a collapse of historic proportions. I broke the league scoring record of 1524.5 points with 1565.9 points and I outscored my opponents by 10.38 points per game. Only once before has the #1 team in the power ranks not made the playoffs (me again in 2010) and never has a team with a positive scoring differential missed the playoffs. Another first, the team with the #1 overall fantasy player, at the time of this writing is Tom Brady, has never missed the playoffs. And lastly, 7 of my 9 core players are in the top 10 at their position, could argue 8 had Percy not gotten injured. How I ruined this season I will never know, actually that’s not true thanks Reggie Bush! Thanks to flirting with his “potential” in 2 matchups, week 5 loss to Sauce’n Ain’t Easy and week 8 loss to Chocolate Starfish, I went from the #2 spot and a bye to not being in at all... Back to the drawing board.

Bold Prediction:
I went 3-2 this week. I’m 33-27 on the season.
I predict a Championship matchup between Child Please and Red Hot Julius Peppers, we’ve been here before, with Child Please winning.

For this week:
(Catcha Fade vs. Sauce’n Ain’t Easy) Catcha Fade is hot and Sauce’n Ain’t Easy needs to plug some holes. Catcha Fade wins.

(Team birdsinthekitch vs. Red Hot Julius Peppers) Red Hot Julius Peppers wins no more explanation necessary.
